We are now open and taking reservations for the 2010 season. Spring and early season hours vary and trips are subject to current conditions and temperatures. Please view the current conditions page to check on todays operations or call 434-286-2338 for reservations.

Remember, you can always see if we are running or not by consulting the river conditions page!
We are open every day as long as river levels and weather conditions permit. Take a great trip with us....being on the river is the essence of rejuvenation!

Make sure to CALL for reservations as we are UNABLE to provide online services for reservations, print out the release form, and check the current conditions page regularly.

NOTICE: Please make especially sure that you call us for reservations as there are times (especially on Saturdays) that we book up completely. This will be our 32nd year of providing professional and dependable outfitting on The James River.
Total amount of trip fee required as deposit for guaranteed reservations. Payment by cash, travelers checks, money orders, or personal checks only. Last minute cancellations or "no shows" will forfeit any deposits submitted. Cancellations must be made 10 more more days in advance to receive refunds. Without deposit of trip fee NOTHING is guaranteed.

Reservations are strongly recommended especially for Saturdays, Sundays, and holiday when we do get completely booked at times.
Rental season generally runs from April through October 1.

All trips include:
River equipment (canoe, kayak, raft or inner tube), paddles, life vests, parking, transportation, tie down rope, trip briefing, a safe place to leave your car keys, and maps. Dressing rooms are available.

**GROUP RATES** will only be honored with prior reservations and all waivers and deposits turned in at one time for all participants. In order to save time and trouble we highly recommend that all of our clients (especially groups and those who have young folks attending) go to the release page (waiver form), print the page, then read carefully and sign the agreement listing children underneath who are under the adults' supervision. This is especially important for those groups that have participants under the age of 18 and who need to have parental permission to attend the outing. Then bring this along when you come to James River Runners, LLC for your river excursion.

Year 2010 Pricing
These rates include 5% Virginia sales tax, 1% Albemarle County "short term rental" tax, all river equipment, parking, transportation, tie down rope, maps, and briefings.

NOTICE: For those who like to party and indulge with alcohol: Alcohol and river trips do not mix.
It's the LAW - those who drink in public are subject to arrest. NO open alcohol is allowed in our parking lot, office, any vehicle, put in, or take out areas. NO smoking or drinking of alcohol is allowed in any of our transport vehicles.

PLEASE .... NO PETS ALLOWED...
NO jumping or diving on ANY trip and all participants MUST be capable swimmers. There is NO tresspassing allowed on Rock Island (just downstream from Warren).

Any minor (under age 18) children MUST have the release form signed by their PARENTS and given to us prior to any trip taken by said minor. Those under 18 may not go on the river unless the release form has been signed by the parents of the child. Those who are heading up groups should make sure to have this taken care of prior to arrival. ALL participants must be at least 6 years of age and able to swim! All trips are self guided....no guide service is available.

(10:30AM - 2:00PM every 1/2 hour weekends and every hour weekdays)

Trip Description

RAFTING - 4 or 5 Persons per Raft on all Trips (Each raft is charged at the four person rate should there be less than four in the raft). We suggest that you avoid rafting during typical low water season in the summer. Rafting should not be attempted at levels below 3.5 feet.
CANOEING - 2 Persons per Canoe on all Trips, Solo canoeists pay the two person rate.
KAYAKING - Sit on Tops - Solo (1 person)
Group Rates are for 24 or more people for all one day or overnight trips listed below. Combinations of equipment also qualifies.
